Larry has been involved in Project Consultants & Associates, Inc. (PC&A) since he founded its’ predecessor company, Project Management Associates, Inc. (PMA), over thirty years ago. Through PC&A (or PMA), Mr. Umstadter has experience in many consulting services. Mr. Umstadter has spent the last 12 years of his business career in assisting building materials and interior materials manufacturing companies and automotive tier-one suppliers in making their companies sustainable by creating sustainable business practices with a positive influence on the bottom line.
Mr. Umstadter has worked closely with various companies dealing with environmental management and solving production waste problems. EDA, Energy Development Associates was a company founded by Mr. Umstadter. EDA was founded to develop co-generation and resource recovery projects. EDA provided consulting services to the resource recovery, co-generation and recycling sectors. EDA developed and operated an HDPE and PETrecycling facility in Keene, NH. EDA was sold in 1992 to Rome Polymers. In 1990, Mr. Umstadter was elected president and chief operating officer of Rivenite Corporation, a company involved in the recycling of post-consumer plastics and wood fiber, making a produc known as TREX, which was sold to Mobil Corporation in 1992. PC&A’s client list includes Armstrong World Industries, Baron Enterprises, Collins & Aikman Floorcoverings, Greenway Environmental Inc., Lees Carpet, Mannington Mills, Mohawk Group, Tower Waste Management and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Umstadter is a member of professional organizations that include the International Association of Consultants, Recycle Florida Today, and the Buy Recycled Business Alliance. He has served as a director on the boards of Customedix, Lasergate Systems, Suncoast Plastics, and Baron Enterprises. Mr. Umstadter is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey.
